First friends
First Friends Early Years Group - Established for over 20 years!
EVERY THURSDAY 10.00am – 11.30am (during term time)
First Friends (0-5 years) is one of many clubs and activities that King Street Chapel offers people in the community, as a way to get to know people, and to show God’s love. We look forward to getting to know you and your child better through the activities we run at ‘First Friends’.
Find us on our Facebook page for updates: https://www.facebook.com/kingstchapel
We start at 10.00am with FREE PLAY; a chance to allow your child to explore and experiment with all the toys and a time for you to socialise with the leaders and other parents, while keeping an eye on your child.
CRAFTS: During this time there is an opportunity for you and your child and take part in a craft. This will further their artistic skills and create something special to take home. Then at 11.00am we tidy all the toys away to sit at a table together for drinks and biscuits and for a bible story. After this, we end the session with a time of singing, and we encourage you to take part in this together.
STORIES: Each week ‘First Friends’ will be based around a Bible story. The craft will be relevant to the story and there will be a simple message for each week to encourage us all in life. We believe the Bible is the manual for life, and Jesus shared many stories to explain to us how we should try to live, which are just as relevant today as 2000 years ago. We are passionate to share these with you. Feel free to ask us any questions on the stories each week.
We at King Street Chapel believe in Jesus, and we believe in sharing the good news about him to everyone. The leaders may share some ‘real’ stories of how Jesus is part of our lives today in the termly newsletters for you to read.
As leaders we also pray for all the parents and children who attend ‘First Friends’. We believe that prayer works, and would invite any of you to feel free to ask us to prayer specifically for any needs in your lives, or to fill in one of our prayer request cards and hand it in.
Due to the popularity of this group we do request that you register first, so please email Rachel Webber at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. beforehand.
